Our suites are housed within a charming small palazzo built in 1460, as depicted in a fresco on one of its facades. Historically, this building served as a place of welcome for pilgrims who passed through Bassano, coming from north Europe. It was indeed called 'Ospitale’. The fresco bears the Bernardinian emblem (Saint Bernard) of the radiant sun and the inscription IHS, which stands for Jesus Hominem Salvator (Jesus, Savior of Mankind).
The antique flooring showcases the traditional Venetian technique of terrazzo, a handcrafted artistry made famous, among other magnificent examples, by the Doge's Palace in Venice.
